eSIM Provincial Simulation Program

Staff and partners of Alberta Health Services from across the province can obtain simulation-based training from the eSIM team.

eSIM is based on four concepts: educate, simulate, innovate and motivate. A team of simulation experts, support staff and faculty use these concepts to collaborate with various healthcare professionals in order to develop and deliver scenarios to participants with the intention of creating a safe and meaningful environment.

eSIM training facilities are designed and equipped to recreate virtually any care environment and are located at multiple sites in Alberta. At these centers health-care providers can practice a wide range of simulations on high-tech simulators, which breathe, blink, talk, and have pulses and vital signs.
